What's it going to cost?
Club Fees
Club shooting fees are currently set at £135 per year(2023/4). Please note that fees may change depending on the hire costs of the archery ranges we use. However we do try to keep fees to the minimum possible to cover our outgoings.
Note that you can either join as an affiliate member (with full voting rights, joining AGB/SAA through the Club) or as an associate member (with no vote at Club business meetings) if you have already joined AGB/SAA directly or through another club. Club fees are the same for both affiliate and associate members.
AGB and SAA Affiliation Fees
In addition to Club fees, all members must be affiliated to Archery GB and the Scottish Archery Association (the sport's national and regional governing bodies). Full fees for that come to approximately £90 per year (although some discounts are available for pensioners, students, archers with disabilities, under 25s, and under 18s). There are also pro-rata reductions available if you join at certain points through the membership year. The full breakdown of affiliation fees can be found here.
Visitors
Visiting archers are welcome on Club nights on production of a current AGB membership card. The shooting fee for visitors is £5.00 per session as of April 2024.
Buying Equipment
When you reach the stage of buying your own equipment, you can expect to pay anything from £200 to £300 and upwards for a suitable bow, arrows and other kit. However, if you're new to archery, please don't buy anything without seeking advice first! During your first weeks at the Club (especially if you've just completed our Beginners' Course) you can borrow club equipment for a modest hire charge while you work out what you're going to need.
